I was in my History of Japan class (I should mention I’m in college!), and we were talking about how in the woodblock…

For real. Now i understand why they look that way, but like the person the OP so ignorantly called “Racist”, I didn’t not know why anime’s appeared to have western features. The poor kid was just curious about something and OP is like “OMG RACIST” . At this day and age, people should KNOW what racism is….

Though, I kind of wish anime’s portrayed ethnicities to be a little more true to their natural appearances, because every type of person can be pretty or ugly, and it should just be more obvious… That’s my main problem with anime, same face everywhere… but this is getting into personal opinion haha. (yes i know this doesn’t apply to all animes, i’m referring to most mainstream ones that i’ve seen) 

Oh please tell me again how I’m stupid for saying that what he said was racist by saying that animation from Asia the asian character had to look yellow.

Also yes, claiming that in anime that the Japanese characters are white and say they should have “slanty eyes” in order to fit into the stereotype of is a very bad way of phrasing it AND IS RACIST.

Yes, maybe “slanty eyes” was going a bit far, but you can’t deny that anime character look white. Barely any of them have the skin tone that you would expect from an “IRL” Japanese person despite the fact that we’re supposed to believe that they live in Japan. 90% of the time they don’t even have black hair. And no, you cannot argue that I’m being racist for saying that Japanese have “yellow” skin and black hair, because - sorry, hun - they do. You went overboard.

Hate to break it to you, sweetheart, but anime characters look white as snow. It’s not racism in the slightest. He was right when he said that more “yellow”-y skin would make them look more Japanese.

A single character in an anime with big tits isn’t what pisses people off. It’s the fact that there always has to be a multitude of female characters who either have huge breasts (unless it’s a multitude of small, childlike girls with no breasts instead, which is even grosser), and the fact that their sexual characteristics are also exaggerated, displayed, and are their only real selling point. IMO, for every female anime character, there’s a billion other anime girls with exactly the same personality; they’re all caricatures. There are so, so few women in anime that actually possess any depth.

Tl;dr: Anime girls are just there to sell sex and so yes, the fact that they all have huge tits matters. It’s all very offensive.
